About the position

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team at Equifax. This role is pivotal in supporting all aspects of our sales activities, specifically within the Commercial sales business unit. As an SDR, you will be responsible for prospecting and developing qualified sales opportunities, which involves engaging with both current and prospective accounts. You will work closely with the Commercial sales teams to execute outbound cold-calling efforts, manage email campaigns, and qualify inbound leads. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance from Tuesday to Thursday at our Chicago office located at 8600 W Bryn Mawr Ave. In this role, you will engage in regular communication and strategic planning with product management and sales/service teams. Your responsibilities will include researching and analyzing prospective targets within the Payments Solutions industry, managing all Lead Source opportunities in collaboration with the Sales Manager, and improving communication regarding lead outcomes with the field service team. You will also support all marketing campaigns by following up on leads and setting appointments, assist in developing target lists for various campaigns, and update the contact database (SFDC) with relevant information such as meetings, notes, and prospecting activities. Additionally, you will coordinate with the Sales Manager to schedule meetings based on geographic visits, manage monthly “touch” campaigns for new business development, and follow up on all web cast and eSeminar leads. Your role may also involve assisting with seminars, tradeshows, and conferences, as well as supporting the sales/service team with product lead qualification and appointment setting. Regular updates to product management and sales/service teams regarding business development metrics and revenue generated will also be part of your responsibilities. Data mining and researching sales territories and accounts will be essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop qualified sales opportunities for the Equifax Commercial sales business unit.

Requirements

  • Outbound telephone cold-calling experience is desired and strongly preferred.
  • Ability to open doors via telephone conversations and reach key decision-makers.
  • Knowledge/experience with a contact database such as SFDC is preferred.
  • Experience using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Prefer inside sales experience selling/introducing/discussing services with Director or C-level executives.
  • Good writing skills are important for effective communication.
  • A Bachelor's degree is a must, preferably in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
