About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in the sales process, focusing on learning and executing all steps associated with sales. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their sales skills and contribute to the growth of the company. The SDR will partner with the Delivery team to identify top IT talent that meets client needs, thereby increasing sales and market share through both assigned and newly generated accounts. The role requires the SDR to identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer relationships, utilizing resources such as Salesforce and Hoovers to enhance their effectiveness. In this position, the SDR will be responsible for contacting and meeting with prospective customers to establish their needs and hiring cycles, fostering a customer-centric relationship. The SDR will also prepare and present sales information and effective proposals tailored to the customers' requirements. This role is not only about making sales but also about building long-term relationships that can lead to repeat business and referrals. The company provides thorough sales training within the IT Talent Solutions and Services industry, allowing the SDR to work closely with an assigned Account Manager who will serve as a mentor. With a competitive base salary and an uncapped commission structure, the SDR position offers unlimited earning potential. Additionally, employees are eligible for performance-based bonuses, which can be awarded quarterly and annually. Once promoted to an Account Manager, the individual will also receive a monthly car and cell phone allowance, further enhancing the compensation package.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Delivery team in identifying top IT Talent to fulfill client needs
  • Increase sales and market share through assigned and newly generated accounts
  • Identify, develop and manage new and existing customer relationships by leveraging resources including but not limited to Salesforce and Hoovers
  • Contact and meet with prospective customers to establish customer needs and hiring cycles
  • Prepare and present sales information and effective proposals for customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience OR Degree in Sales OR Sales Internship Experience OR Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/ Organization
  • A strong desire for a career in B2B Sales
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills which can be leveraged in areas of negotiations
  • A sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills and a high standard of professionalism and character
  • The ability to overcome obstacles without becoming discouraged and readily collaborate with others to accomplish goals
  • A strong propensity to learn is necessary
