About the position

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Atlassian, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline for our customer base. This position is designed for early-career professionals who are eager to dive into the world of sales and contribute to a delightful customer experience. You will work closely with our Advocates (Account Executives) and collaborate with various teams, including Sales Operations and Marketing, to ensure that our sales strategies are effectively executed. Reporting directly to a Development Sales Manager, you will be accountable for several key performance metrics, including meeting setting, outbound prospecting, conversion rates, and overall customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for navigating objections through value-driven messaging and crafting personalized emails that resonate with our customers. Your ability to build relationships and trust will be essential as you partner with Advocates and Marketing teams to drive pipeline growth. You will utilize tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), Gong, Outreach, and LinkedIn Navigator to manage your outreach and track your progress. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the Americas, providing flexibility while you develop your sales skills. At Atlassian, we value accountability, communication, and a commitment to continuous learning. You will be expected to set clear goals and establish daily routines that help you achieve them. We encourage you to seek coaching and feedback actively, as we believe that growth comes from taking ownership of your development. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a results-based culture, enjoys challenges, and is eager to contribute to the success of the team. No prior experience as an SDR is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals transitioning from other fields such as recruitment or teaching, or those who have excelled in sales and are now interested in software sales.
