About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Atlassian is responsible for outbound prospecting and qualifying business leads through proactive outreach and research. This role involves engaging with decision-makers via cold calls, emails, and other outreach strategies, while collaborating with various teams to develop lead generation strategies. The position emphasizes accountability, communication, and a passion for sales, aiming to articulate the value proposition of Atlassian's products to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for outbound prospecting in a quota-carrying role, converting meetings into pipeline.
  • Qualify business leads through proactive outreach and research.
  • Conduct cold calls, emails, and other outreach strategies to engage with decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, partner, and operations teams to develop lead generation strategies.
  • Navigate objections through value-driven messaging.
  • Articulate the value proposition of our products to customers.
  • Build your pipeline in partnership with Enterprise Advocates and Enterprise Marketing teams.
  • Work with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and LinkedIn Navigator.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales roles such as Sales Development Representative, Inside Sales, Lead Generation, Account Representative, Account Management, Consulting, Recruitment, or Marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with prospects.
  • Demonstrated accountability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to navigate change and contribute to team goals.
  • Passion for sales and customer-centric approaches.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and LinkedIn Navigator.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to identify the best solutions.
