About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at NNR Global Logistics USA Inc. plays a vital role in supporting the sales team by conducting market research, generating leads, and maintaining customer relationships. This position is focused on enhancing sales growth through effective communication and analytical skills, while also providing support for quotes and proposals. The SDR will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth movement of goods and deliver exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research using various platforms including Datamyne and LinkedIn.
  • Analyze and promote CRM usage to push sales leads to area sales.
  • Research dormant client lists and share prospects with the local sales team.
  • Cold call, build sales leads, qualify prospects, and schedule meetings.
  • Support quotes and proposals via NNR's quoting tools: Web-Cargo & Cargosphere.
  • Assist with SOP, correct client ID assignment, and ensure clients are in CRM.
  • Provide timely quotes back to clients to increase sales growth.
  • Support smaller clients in markets without a local salesperson.
  • Identify prospective customers using business directories and leads from existing clients.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with clients and team members.
  • Conduct client research and prepare proposals for the sales team.
  • Audit and update client profiles in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Effectively communicate relevant sales and marketing information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 2 years of college or military service.
  • 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Previous experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry is a plus.
  • Prior work experience or internship in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
  • Solid customer service techniques.
  • Ability to learn to use CRM software.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 0365 software suite.
