About the position

Fundera by NerdWallet is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the first point of contact for entrepreneurs and small business owners. The SDR will help navigate financial needs and direct clients to appropriate solutions, playing a crucial role in managing a pipeline of prospective customers and collaborating with Account Executives to close deals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and re-engage existing small business customers to discover their financing needs.
  • Handle initial outreach and introduce small business customers to their Funding Advisor.
  • Speak confidently about Fundera's products and assist business owners in the application process.
  • Act as a liaison between Account Executives and small business owners to ensure smooth lead transitions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow-ups.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of direct sales experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline with consistent performance against KPIs/sales metrics.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time autonomously.
  • Comfortable and resilient in conversations with diverse business owners.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced inside sales environment.
  • Ability to think on your feet when faced with challenges or difficult questions.
  • Willingness to accept feedback and implement it immediately.
