About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Atlassian is responsible for outbound prospecting and qualifying business leads through proactive outreach and research. This role is crucial in converting leads into a sales pipeline and involves collaboration with various teams to develop effective lead generation strategies. The position emphasizes accountability, communication, and a passion for sales, with a focus on helping customers by articulating the value proposition of Atlassian's products.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for outbound prospecting in a quota-carrying role, converting meetings into pipeline.
  • Qualify business leads through proactive outreach and research.
  • Conduct cold calls, emails, and other outreach strategies to engage with decision makers.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, partner, and operations teams to develop lead generation strategies.
  • Navigate objections through value-driven messaging.
  • Articulate the value proposition of our products to customers.
  • Build your pipeline in partnership with Enterprise Advocates and Enterprise Marketing teams.
  • Work with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and LinkedIn Navigator.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales development or similar roles such as Inside Sales, Lead Generation, or Account Management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and engage prospects effectively.
  • Demonstrated accountability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to navigate change and contribute to team goals.
  • Passion for sales and customer-centric approaches.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and LinkedIn Navigator.
  • Background in consulting or recruitment.
