About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at KnowBe4 plays a crucial role in the sales process by reaching out to potential customers, qualifying their interest, and passing them on to the assigned Territory/Account Executive(s). This position is designed for individuals who are eager to start their careers in sales, particularly within the IT security field. The SDR will engage with prospects primarily through phone and email communications, aiming to generate interest in KnowBe4's security awareness training and simulated phishing platform. The role requires a proactive approach to outreach, as well as the ability to gauge the interest of prospects effectively. In addition to outreach, the SDR will be responsible for maintaining organized records of interactions with prospects and ensuring that qualified leads are efficiently passed to the appropriate sales representatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and will be comfortable using various sales tools and CRM systems. A friendly demeanor and a persistent attitude are essential, as it may take multiple attempts to connect with potential customers. The SDR will also need to demonstrate strong organizational skills and a results-oriented mindset to succeed in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Reach out via phone and/or email to cold prospects and get them interested in a KnowBe4 product
  • Gauge the interest of prospects to qualify them as potential customers
  • Pass the qualified and interested prospects to their assigned Territory/Account Executive(s)

Requirements

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field is a plus
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience with a CRM or other Sales Tools is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Friendly phone voice
  • Ability to be pleasantly persistent in reaching prospects
  • Highly organized and results-oriented
