About the position

The Sales Development Representative at PowerSchool is an entry-level position focused on building the sales pipeline for the company. This role is designed for individuals looking to start their career in tech sales, particularly in the education technology sector. The representative will be responsible for sourcing prospects, generating leads, and ensuring a high-quality sales experience for potential customers. The position offers a clear path for career growth within the company, emphasizing personal development and success in sales.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing prospects and generating leads via cold calls.
  • Working directly with Inside and/or Enterprise Sales teams to pass along qualified opportunities.
  • Developing a strong understanding of prospects and learning solution-selling techniques.
  • Proactively engaging and prospecting new business opportunities and customers, making approximately 50-60 outbound calls and 20-30 emails per day.
  • Consistently meeting and/or exceeding metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Background in sales or lead generation is a plus.
  • Mindset to be coached, trained, and mentored toward a successful software sales career.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Office.
  • Desire to grow in a software sales career path.
