About the position

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Synthesia, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth through inbound prospecting activities. Your primary responsibility will be to qualify incoming leads that have the potential to convert into opportunities. This will involve engaging with prospects via various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, events, webinars, and marketing campaigns. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the lead generation process, which will support marketing activities and facilitate smooth hand-offs to Account Executives. In this role, you will be tasked with creating and activating email sequences, making cold calls to effectively map and penetrate accounts, and conducting follow-up communications until meetings are successfully set. Your efforts will directly contribute to Synthesia's growth trajectory, and you will have the autonomy to create scalable processes that enhance success in lead qualification and conversion. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit. You will be self-driven, ambitious, and comfortable working in a quota-carrying role. Attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, including proficiency in phone interactions, listening, and writing, are essential for success in this position. You must be located in the NYC metro area to be eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth through inbound prospecting activities.
  • Qualify incoming leads via phone calls, emails, social media, events, webinars, and campaigns.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the lead generation process.
  • Support marketing activities and facilitate Account Executive hand-offs.
  • Create and activate email sequences for outreach.
  • Make cold calls to map and penetrate accounts.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and emails until meetings are set.

Requirements

  • At least 6+ months of B2B sales experience, preferably with Software/SaaS solutions, Consulting, Web3, or other tech-related fields.
  • History of quota attainment in previous roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • Attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, including phone, listening, and writing skills.
  • Self-driven with a desire to help Synthesia grow and create scalable processes for success.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong growth mindset.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, comfortable in a quota-carrying environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience using Sales Automation/Prospecting Tools (e.g., Amplemarket, Salesloft, Outreach) and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Experience working at a fast-growing startup.
