About the position

The Sales Development Representative Intern at Google Public Sector is a 12-14 week paid internship designed for students in their penultimate academic year pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields. The role involves supporting the sales organization by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing Google Cloud computing opportunities, while gaining insights into how Google's solutions assist in digital transformation for public sector institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support pipeline development by conducting research, identifying potential opportunities, and contributing to outbound activities in collaboration with Field Sales Representatives (FSR).
  • Assist in the development and execution of aimed campaigns, leveraging resources from Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to drive awareness and engagement within specific customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer accounts, including technical and business decision-makers.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and best practices across all campaigns.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or post-secondary training experience with a focus on subjects in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related fields.
  • Experience with business development, sales, or marketing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12-14 weeks outside of university term time.
  • Penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
  • Experience in a customer-facing (external or internal) role.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Excellent people management and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate an ambiguous environment.
