About the position

The Sales Development Representative Intern position for Summer 2025 is designed for a self-disciplined, entrepreneurial, and ambitious individual who is eager to support our sales teams in various capacities. This role encompasses lead generation, lead qualification, sales support, market analysis, customer service, and data management, all aimed at building a robust sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship skills and organizational abilities, which are essential for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining effective communication with both team members and clients. In this internship, you will be responsible for identifying leads through various channels, including phone calls, cold calling, emails, and LinkedIn. You will work closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless communication and the proper handoff of qualified leads. Regular meetings with Account Executives will be held to review activities and opportunities, allowing you to stay informed and engaged in the sales process. Additionally, you will analyze existing accounts to identify market trends and opportunities, manage the account database, and contribute to the development of strategies for targeting potential customers based on observed trends and research. As part of your professional development, you will meet bi-weekly with the Sales Manager and your mentor to discuss your research progress, address any questions regarding future directions, and propose modifications based on your findings. This internship offers a comprehensive introduction to the sales cycle, equipping you with valuable skills and insights that will benefit your future career in sales and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Identify leads through phone, cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to determine most appropriate next steps
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure strong communication and proper hand off of qualified leads
  • Provide follow up support to Account Executives through the entire sales cycle
  • Meet regularly with Account Executives to review activities and opportunities from the prior day
  • Analyze existing accounts to identify trends and opportunities in the market
  • Manage account database by entering critical information needed to successfully manage each account
  • Help develop strategies to best target potential customers based on trends and patterns observed from customer contact and research
  • Meet with the Sales Manager and mentor bi-weekly to discuss the progress of research, resolve questions regarding future directions and discuss any proposed modifications based upon research results

Requirements

  • Technical aptitude & proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to assist team members in task completion
  • Enjoy cold calling and have a high level of relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Self-starter, team player, independent yet supportive
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Communications preferred
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Expected graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
