About the position

Commvault is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) intern who will primarily focus on opportunity generation and pipeline development. This role serves as the first line of communication with prospects, requiring a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to effectively research leads and establish new relationships. The SDR intern will play a crucial role in boosting top-line revenue growth and customer acquisition by showcasing Commvault's offerings in a compelling manner.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing new sales prospects and reaching out to them to book appointments for product demonstrations.
• Reaching out to leads captured and nurtured by the Marketing Team to book demonstrations.
• Working in a fast-paced team while remaining focused on individual goals and milestones.
• Connecting with customers and prospects through inbound and outbound calling, inbound chat, and email to position Metallic Commvault solutions and identify and develop opportunities for Sales.
• Conducting daily outbound dialing to marketing responders and target prospects and customers, probing for active projects that align with Commvault solutions, and evoking interest in data solutions.
• Qualifying and disqualifying potential customers and applying value propositions to specific customer scenarios and types.
• Targeting 130-150+ activities per day.
• Developing a close relationship with sales counterparts who you will be supporting.

Requirements

• IT, SaaS or B2B sales or B2B SaaS experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and telephone presence.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Self-motivated, accountable approach combined with a strong sense of teamwork.
• Affinity for technology.
• SFDC and Outreach or Salesloft experience preferred.
• Currently working on a BA degree.
