About the position

Stenograph LLC, a leader in the legal transcription industry, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving our sales efforts by making cold calls to potential clients, generating leads, and setting appointments for our sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. As an individual contributor, this position reports directly to the SVP of Enterprise Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound cold calls to introduce our innovative products and services, generating interest among potential clients. You will qualify leads and set appointments for the sales team to follow up on, ensuring a seamless transition of qualified leads. Maintaining accurate records of all calls and interactions in our CRM system is essential, as is meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly targets for calls made, appointments set, and sales opportunities generated. Collaboration with the sales team is crucial to ensure that leads are effectively moved through the pipeline and that sales meetings are booked efficiently. Staying current on industry trends and competitor offerings will enable you to better position our products and services in the market. This role is not only about making calls but also about building relationships and contributing to the overall success of the sales team. Responsibilities

  • Make outbound cold calls to potential clients to introduce our products/services and generate interest
  • Qualify leads and set appointments for the sales team to follow up on
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls and interactions in the CRM system
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for calls made, appointments set, and sales opportunities generated
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings to better position our products/services
  • Focus on prospecting, moving leads through the pipeline, and booking sales meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales or cold calling
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
