About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Sentinel Group is designed for individuals looking to start a career in financial services. The SDR will focus on nurturing leads to a sales-ready state, driving demand for Sentinel's products and services through various methods including lead generation, qualifying leads, and appointment setting. This position offers personalized sales coaching and a unique opportunity to rotate through different business areas, gaining exposure to various functions within the company. The role is hybrid, based in Wakefield, MA, and is set to start in June 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture leads to a sales-ready state through various outreach methods.
  • Drive demand for Sentinel's products and services via lead generation and qualification.
  • Conduct research on assigned accounts using tools like Google, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo.
  • Create and maintain weekly forecasts tracking lead qualification metrics.
  • Track and manage prospecting and nurturing activities in CRM.
  • Implement best practices for leads database to enhance data integrity.
  • Execute telemarketing programs to increase attendance at events and promote products.
  • Communicate effectively the Sentinel story to prospects and address their challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in lead generation and sales processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Active listening skills to assess prospect needs and opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media tools for monitoring accounts and prospects.
  • Completion of Life and Accident & Health licenses and Introduction to Retirement Plans (IRP) certificate.
