About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Anaplan plays a crucial role in the sales team by being the first point of contact for prospective clients. This position focuses on building relationships, generating qualified leads, and scheduling meetings for the direct sales force. The SDR is expected to engage in value-based discussions, collaborate with field sales, and meet ambitious sales metrics in a dynamic SaaS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first voice for prospective Anaplan clients.
  • Deliver effective messaging to enhance business planning, forecasting, modeling, and budgeting.
  • Follow up on and build qualified leads using Account Based Marketing techniques.
  • Establish rapport and cultivate relationships with prospects.
  • Schedule initial meetings and demonstrations for the direct sales force with enterprise companies.
  • Engage in value-based discussions with prospects.
  • Collaborate with field sales to develop and execute Account Based Sales Development strategies.
  • Challenge oneself to meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of Inside Sales/Business Development/Sales Development experience, preferably in an enterprise software company selling SaaS/Cloud applications
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding lead generation, forecasting, and sales objectives
  • Experience calling into Fortune 2000 accounts at CXO level
  • High level of energy, drive, passion, initiative, dedication, and integrity
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce.com
  • Ability to maintain high call volumes.
