About the position

The Sales Development role at Navan is essential for driving the company's growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers, generating leads, and setting up meetings for the sales team. This position involves researching target companies, engaging with prospects, and utilizing industry knowledge to promote Navan's products and services. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for rapid promotion through comprehensive training and enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Actively outbound prospect through cold-calling and messaging to qualify leads and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop strategies for landing outbound prospects and accounts.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to provide feedback on lead quality through internal systems.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Navan's suite of product offerings, particularly in Travel & Expense.
  • Utilize tools such as SFDC, Outreach, Zoominfo, Chorus, and Sales Navigator to build a book of business and enhance sales skills.
  • Monitor metrics and leverage data to inform decision-making.
  • Consistently achieve quota by strategizing effective outbound plays.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in outreach initiatives such as cold calling, fundraising, internships, or relevant jobs is required.
  • Experience in a quota-carrying role is a plus.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, coachability, and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage potentially hundreds of leads.
  • A sense of curiosity and a desire to learn, grow, and engage in feedback.

Nice-to-haves

  • Receiving a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field between Dec 2023 and May 2024.
