The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Salesforce is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to start a client-facing sales career. This role involves generating new business opportunities, supporting sales teams, and developing core sales skills while working alongside industry leaders. SDRs will engage with inbound leads, advocate for customer needs, and contribute to revenue generation goals, all while learning and growing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business pipeline and interest through calling on inbound leads.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to help move along qualified pipeline through the sales cycle.
  • Discover business initiatives and act as an internal advocate for customers.
  • Build a point of view on how to help qualify customer needs.
  • Speak to value and return on investment versus technical functionality.
  • Build credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learn to anticipate and prepare for objections.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization.
  • Manage a high volume of inbound leads with a strategy on prioritization of leads.
  • Research and understand various lines of business and personas.

Requirements

  • Must be within less than 1-year of having completed a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree from the start date of this role OR graduate/alumni/participant of a workforce development training program.
  • Long-term interest in a client-facing sales career.
  • Competitive spirit and the drive for results.
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Coachable and enjoys learning in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or full-time corporate sales experience.
  • B2B software sales experience is a plus.
