About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Breakthru Beverage Group is a full-time role focused on maximizing sales of supplier beer brands through relationship building and strategic sales prospecting. The position involves training on beer products and requires the individual to cover various territories, ensuring brand visibility and compliance while managing customer accounts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Calls on accounts and covers daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
  • Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations to customers, balancing company priorities and customer needs.
  • Maintains product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legal.
  • Ensures maximum brand visibility within accounts using effective point of sale materials.
  • Obtains payments for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittance from accounts where legally permissible.
  • Educates account staff by conducting educational training seminars on brands.
  • Services accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances and handling customer issues.
  • Strategizes and preplans to achieve sales and merchandising objectives by understanding pricing and product programming.
  • Ensures national account compliance by accurately completing necessary surveys.
  • Understands account buying patterns by reviewing pricing and maintaining historical purchase information.
  • Attains performance goals by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals of supplier brands.
  • Manages customer account receivables by processing credits and returns timely.
  • Remains informed of company/supplier activities by attending weekly sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales.
  • Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs including presentation software.
  • Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently or within a team, and pay attention to detail.
  • Analytic and reporting skills with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to hold a Solicitor's Permit.
  • Understanding of wine and spirits.
