About the position

The Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a dynamic and proactive role focused on generating new business opportunities for Watchfire. This position requires a high-energy individual who is comfortable engaging with potential clients through various channels, including phone, email, and social media. The primary goal of the Outbound SDR is to create interest among existing customers for replacement or new sign opportunities while also reaching out to prospects who may not be familiar with Watchfire's services. The SDR will play a crucial role in connecting qualified leads with the Outside Sales team, ensuring a smooth transition and effective follow-up on potential sales opportunities. In this role, the Outbound SDR will work closely with Regional Territory Managers to identify and pursue new prospects. This collaboration is essential for maximizing outreach efforts and ensuring that leads are effectively handed off to the local sales team. The SDR will be expected to consistently meet performance metrics, including call counts, touch/activity goals, and Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) targets on a weekly and quarterly basis. Additionally, the Outbound SDR will be encouraged to explore new strategies and share insights with their manager and teammates to enhance both individual and team performance. The Outbound SDR will report directly to the Sales Development Manager and will be an integral part of the Sales Development team. Responsibilities

  • Comfort with B2B sales prospecting via phone and email
  • Qualify leads using the SDR sales process to generate sales opportunities
  • Consistently hit call, touch/activity count, and Marketing Qualified Lead goals weekly and quarterly
  • Ability to become familiar with all Watchfire products
  • Collaborate with assigned Regional Territory Managers on a consistent basis
  • Consistently utilize technology platforms like Salesforce, SalesLoft, and others to keep up-to-date records of all interactions with prospective clients

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of sales experience or customer service
  • Previous experience with Salesforce, Pardot, SalesLoft, or similar CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Experience with B2B prospecting
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and be coachable
  • Team player
  • Highly organized
