About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an entry-level position focused on generating profitable revenue through new business development and upselling to existing clients in the Ohio and Indiana territories. The role emphasizes a proactive sales approach, utilizing the Challenger selling method to engage clients and build relationships, ultimately driving revenue growth for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Generate profitable revenue through new business and upselling to existing clients.
  • Manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Develop informational presentations and lead in-store dealership meetings.
  • Use the Challenger based selling approach to close complex sales opportunities.
  • Leverage sales tools to gain a competitive edge.
  • Build consensus for the company's surveillance services within client organizations.
  • Independently strategize for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Develop customer relationships with new and existing dealers and clients.
  • Penetrate and build relationships in major corporate offices of dealer groups.
  • Develop strategies to gain market share in high-value target verticals.
  • Strengthen relationships with Customer Experience Managers to ensure unparalleled service.
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue sales quotas.
  • Participate in meetings with the sales organization.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of sales experience in relevant industries (Automotive, Marine, RV, Power sports, Distribution Centers).
  • Successful record selling a service with a required service agreement.
  • Recognized record of sales achievement.
  • Understanding and demonstration of Challenger skills preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain control in the sales process from prospect to close.
  • Salesforce CRM experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling SaaS or into dealerships like automotive, RV, marine, or powersports.
  • Ability to tailor communications to the client's needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
