About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an entry-level position focused on generating profitable revenue through new business development and upselling to existing clients in the Kansas City and St. Louis territories. The role emphasizes a proactive sales approach, utilizing the Challenger selling method to engage clients and build relationships, particularly in the automotive and related industries. The SDR will be responsible for managing a pipeline of opportunities, conducting presentations, and driving revenue growth while meeting sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Generate profitable revenue through new business and upselling to existing clients.
  • Manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Develop informational presentations and lead in-store dealership meetings.
  • Use the Challenger based selling approach to close complex sales opportunities.
  • Leverage sales tools to gain a competitive edge.
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders for the company's services.
  • Independently strategize for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Develop customer relationships with new and existing dealers and clients.
  • Penetrate and build relationships in major corporate offices of dealer groups.
  • Develop strategies to gain market share in high-value target verticals.
  • Strengthen relationships with Customer Experience Managers to ensure unparalleled service.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of sales experience in automotive, marine, RV, power sports, or distribution centers.
  • Successful record selling a service with a required service agreement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain control in the sales process from prospect to close.
  • Salesforce CRM experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
