About the position

At GXO Logistics, we are committed to delivering exceptional service in the logistics industry, and we are looking for a talented Sales Development Representative to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving sales growth and strategic account penetration within the UK and Ireland. Your primary responsibility will be to create, implement, execute, and manage lead generation campaigns aimed at generating pipeline revenue. You will also be tasked with identifying enterprise and high-revenue brands that align with our business objectives. As a Sales Development Representative, you will operate as a regional advocate, managing internal processes to efficiently generate a qualified sales pipeline. This includes leveraging your natural hunting instincts to identify strong sales opportunities that fit our ideal client specifications. You will scope meetings with prospects and support partners in IT, operations, and other departments to ensure a collaborative approach to sales development. Your entrepreneurial flair and creativity will be essential in ensuring that sales campaigns generate well-qualified leads. You will utilize your account mapping skills to develop a strategic approach to lead generation and work closely with regional Business Development Managers and the Head of Global Sales Development to execute tactical sales plans. Proactively targeting new business through outbound lead generation and prospecting via cold calls, emails, social media, and specific sales tools will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will effectively manage Salesforce to mine the database for sales development initiatives and collaborate with Demand Generation and Marketing to develop an ongoing lead generation schedule and strategy. You will also be responsible for nurturing leads and ensuring regular follow-ups. As new products are developed, you will learn about GXO's emerging offerings and the sales process to effectively take these to market.

Responsibilities

  • Create pipeline revenue focused lead generation campaigns
  • Manage internal processes to efficiently generate qualified sales pipeline
  • Identify strong sales opportunities that fit the specification of an ideal client
  • Scope meetings with prospects and support partners in IT, operations, and other departments
  • Ensure sales campaigns generate well qualified sales pipeline
  • Develop a strategic approach to lead generation and sales development using account mapping skills
  • Work closely with regional Business Development Managers and the Head of Global Sales Development to execute tactical sales plans
  • Proactively target new business through outbound lead generation and prospecting via cold calls, emails, social media, and specific sales tools
  • Manage Salesforce and mine the database for sales development initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent related work experience
  • 2+ years lead generation or Business/Sales development experience in the eCommerce or Business Process Outsourcing space
  • Track record of high achievement within Business/Sales Development and lead generation
  • High energy and enthusiasm; eager to make daily cold calls, initiate campaigns and learn from seasoned sales professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage oneself and be self-motivated to attain team/individual objectives
  • Possesses strong social media networking skills
  • Ability to take in criticism and move forward with a mentor
  • Comfortable working in a transparent relationship to learn how to sell and become a high-income earner
  • Integrity and commitment to deliver on the team's jointly developed plans
  • Strong initiative to learn from a leader and drive jointly developed tactical plans, campaigns, and outreaches to a successful conclusion as a team member
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Strong experience using CRM software (Salesforce is preferred)
  • Sales forecasting experience
