About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the organization by being the first point of contact for potential customers. This position involves discussing customer needs, qualifying leads, and articulating the value of the company's services. The SDR will work autonomously while collaborating with a dynamic team focused on creating memorable experiences for corporate, live, and hybrid events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential leads that contribute to growth and revenue.
  • Work from a list of existing prospects and identify additional leads from large corporations, non-profits, and professional associations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with venue managers and event centers to secure upcoming events.
  • Nurture relationships with channel partners such as freelance producers and event rental companies to generate new leads.
  • Engage with industry associations by attending events and participating in networking opportunities.
  • Create and maintain an event calendar to track important events for venues and clients.
  • Conduct outreach through email, phone, and social media to engage potential clients.
  • Schedule and conduct initial qualification meetings with leads.
  • Enter all lead information and interactions into the CRM.

Requirements

  • Experience in CRM software, preferably Pipedrive.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to articulate value.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
  • Experience in hospitality, event planning, or production.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the AV industry or event production.
  • Familiarity with industry associations such as MPI, Cal SAE, and CEMA.
