The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for LifeMart at Care.com plays a crucial role in acquiring new merchant partnerships for the LifeMart platform. This position is centered around expanding LifeMart's merchant base by collaborating with top-tier brands that are eager to engage with LifeMart's highly involved employee and member groups. The SDR will be responsible for understanding the needs of both clients and members to secure partnerships with a diverse range of product and service providers. In this role, the SDR will conduct outbound outreach to potential merchants, introducing them to the LifeMart platform and driving direct sales efforts to establish a robust portfolio of potential merchant partners. The responsibilities include developing, pitching, and negotiating high-level merchant partnerships, overseeing due diligence processes for onboarding new partners, and securing competitive offers to maximize savings opportunities for LifeMart members. The SDR will also negotiate and finalize marketing and partner agreements, facilitate merchant onboarding, and provide sales and account management support as needed. Additionally, the SDR will serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact for Client Account Managers regarding new merchant plans and pipeline, while monitoring performance against sales funnel metrics. This position requires a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong customer-centric approach. The SDR must be detail-oriented, possess exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a track record of negotiating favorable financial terms and deals consistently.
