About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Substrata plays a crucial role in the sales team by generating new opportunities with prospective customers unfamiliar with the company's enzyme-based solutions. This position involves following up on inbound leads and conducting outbound cold calls to potential clients, contributing to the company's growth in response to increasing customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on all assigned inbound leads.
  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients.
  • Research industries, counties, and companies to understand their soil stabilization needs.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team, Sales Analyst, and Marketing teams to maximize sales volume and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare for discovery meetings to assess potential opportunities.
  • Create a pipeline for outbound leads and follow up to gauge interest and set up meetings.
  • Achieve or exceed annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Business or related field preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR).
  • Demonstrated clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Organized and self-disciplined to follow through with sales cycles and methodology.
  • Technically proficient with knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Experience using a CRM system.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
