We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team and support our field sales efforts. Role Overview: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for answering inbound calls and setting appointments for our field sales team by contacting potential leads. This role is crucial in generating new business opportunities and ensuring the sales team has a steady stream of qualified appointments. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and driven by results. The SDR will play a key role in the sales process by qualifying leads, maintaining the lead database, and collaborating closely with the field sales team to ensure effective communication and seamless handoff of leads. This position requires a proactive approach to follow up with leads, nurture relationships, and track appointment-setting metrics to meet and exceed targets. The SDR will also provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Contact potential leads via phone to set appointments for the field sales team.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their needs and assessing their interest in our products/services.
  • Maintain and update the lead database with accurate and detailed information.
  • Follow up with leads to nurture relationships and ensure timely scheduling of appointments.
  • Collaborate closely with the field sales team to ensure seamless handoff and effective communication.
  • Track and report on appointment-setting metrics and sales conversion rates.
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly appointment-setting targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or appointment-setting role, preferably in a sales environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong desire to achieve and exceed targets.
