About the position

Ubiquity Retirement + Savings is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to identify and qualify potential customers for their retirement solutions. The SDR will serve as the first point of contact for prospects, utilizing strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the sales process to initiate relationships and set the stage for successful sales closures. This role is crucial in driving the company's mission to empower small businesses and their employees to secure their financial futures.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage potential customers through outbound calling, emailing, and social media outreach.
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and other sources to identify sales-ready opportunities.
  • Utilize analytics tools and intent data to assess lead quality, prioritize outreach, and tailor messaging to align with pain points and current interests.
  • Set up meetings or calls between potential customers and retirement plan consultants.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of all lead interactions and activities in the CRM system.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective lead generation strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive products.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified leads and appointments.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on the quality of leads and effectiveness of campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience (3-5 years) in sales and SDR experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, is a plus.
  • Understanding of the sales process and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Effectively use tools like ZoomInfo, chat-based platforms, Chorus, and other sales enablement technologies to identify, engage, and track potential customers.
