About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for LifeMart at Care.com plays a crucial role in acquiring new merchant partnerships for the LifeMart platform. This position is centered around expanding LifeMart's merchant base by collaborating with top-tier brands that are eager to engage with LifeMart's highly involved employee and member groups. The SDR will be responsible for understanding the needs of both clients and members to secure partnerships with a diverse range of product and service providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct-to-consumer member acquisition channels and metrics, enabling them to align LifeMart's offerings with each merchant's acquisition strategy effectively. In this role, the SDR will conduct outbound outreach to potential merchants, introducing them to the LifeMart platform and driving direct sales efforts to establish a robust portfolio of potential merchant partners. The SDR will develop, pitch, and negotiate high-level merchant partnerships, overseeing the due diligence processes necessary for onboarding new partners. Additionally, the SDR will be tasked with securing competitive offers to maximize savings opportunities for LifeMart members, negotiating and finalizing marketing and partner agreements, and facilitating the seamless onboarding of merchants while handing off new accounts to the LifeMart Client Services Team. The SDR will also provide sales and account management support as needed, serving as a subject matter expert and primary contact for Client Account Managers regarding new merchant plans and pipeline. Monitoring performance against sales funnel metrics will be a key responsibility, ensuring that the SDR meets and exceeds sales targets while contributing to the overall success of the LifeMart platform.

Responsibilities

  • Find and qualify potential leads, contacts, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience or relevant background.
  • Affiliate marketing industry experience preferred.
  • Strong business development, relationship management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, customer-centric approach, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Track record of negotiating favorable financial terms and deals consistently.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills.
