About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Corpay is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified opportunities for outside sales Account Executives. This role is critical in the sales outreach process, focusing on prospecting accounts and decision-makers, and managing direct outreach to generate interest in Corpay's solutions. The SDR will act as an ambassador for the company, articulating its value proposition effectively while demonstrating persistence and a proactive approach to cold-calling.

Responsibilities

  • Become skilled at using lead generation tools to generate targeted, accurate lists of contacts and strategic prospects.
  • Align sales development process with email, phone, and social selling best practices, using various outreach tools to connect with new prospects and schedule product demos.
  • Utilize strategic questions to engage with key decision-makers to learn about their business needs and build interest in Corpay's offerings.
  • Effectively educate and demonstrate the importance of modernization and automation in Accounts Payable processes.
  • Execute appointment setting for outside sales Account Executive's demos, coordinating meeting details and relevant background information, and facilitating meeting kick-off.
  • Exceed quota of outreach activity and qualified meetings held.

Requirements

  • High degree of persistence, self-confidence, and comfort with cold calling.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and personable demeanor.
  • Concise, compelling, and professional communication skills to handle objections and provide solutions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize key opportunities while managing a workload.
  • Capable of building trusting relationships.
  • Understanding of accounting operations or financial technology (fintech) products and willingness to learn the industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Software as a Service (SAAS), Salesforce, and/or Customer Service.
