About the position

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team at CTERA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a drive to achieve targets. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company in the sales industry. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in increasing sales opportunities for our Field Sales team. You will be responsible for initiating and making outbound calls, following a script to detect projects and determine prospects' level of qualification. You will also utilize various digital sales techniques in your outreach efforts, ensuring that you effectively engage with potential clients. In this role, you will manage leads by qualifying them, distributing them appropriately, and updating our databases using Salesforce and Salesloft. You will provide reports on leads and closure rates, working closely with Account Executives (AEs) from Sales and Marketing to bring leads and generate customer meetings. Your ability to execute email and telemarketing campaigns, including Marketing Qualification of Leads (MQL), will be essential for the success of our sales initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work from home while also collaborating with your team in East Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales opportunities for the Field Sales team to execute on
  • Initiate and make outbound calls - follow a script to detect projects and determine prospects' level of qualification
  • Use various digital sales techniques in outreach efforts
  • Use Salesloft for outreach email campaigns
  • Manage leads: qualification, distribution, and updating databases (Salesforce and Salesloft)
  • Provide reports on leads and closure rates
  • Work closely with Account Executives (AEs) from Sales and Marketing to bring leads and generate customer meetings
  • Outreach to prospects
  • Execute email and telemarketing campaigns, including MQL (Marketing Qualification of Leads), and work closely with the sales team for follow-up

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an SDR in the high-tech field
  • Persistent and able to find information using all available resources (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Salesloft, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo
  • Fast learner and independent worker
  • Resourceful - can solve problems or questions arising 'on the fly'
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills
