About the position

Sherpa Software is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team based in Bridgeville, PA. This role is pivotal in supporting our sales initiatives, improving processes, and driving sales growth. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in educating potential customers about our innovative Altitude platform, which offers robust solutions in information security, privacy, data governance, GDPR, and eDiscovery compliance. You will be responsible for prospecting new accounts, identifying key decision-makers, and qualifying inbound leads to move them through the sales funnel. In this position, you will work closely with the Sales Manager and the CEO/President to develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan. You will have the autonomy to create and implement effective sales processes while managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and pay attention to detail will be essential as you track sales activities and progress in our CRM system. Additionally, you will collaborate with Product Management to relay prospect feature requests, ensuring that our offerings align with customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Driving education and interest of the Altitude platform
  • Prospecting net new accounts
  • Identifying key decision-makers and influencers
  • Qualifying and moving inbound leads in the sales funnel
  • Tracking sales activity and progression in CRM and scheduled outreach programs
  • Helping to identify the prospect's requirements
  • Collaborating with Product Management to relay Prospect feature requests

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the sales or marketing field
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with software programs: Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Outreach
  • Excellent planning and communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to create and execute sales process plans
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas

Nice-to-haves

  • A strong background in information technology and software sales, and sales management
  • Knowledge of information governance, risk and compliance, and/or the legal markets are a plus
  • Experience in data security, data governance, or eDiscovery areas is beneficial
  • Ability to function effectively in a self-directed environment and interact well with other teams (product management, software development, and marketing)
