About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Motorola Solutions plays a crucial role in the Video Security & Access Control division, which is experiencing rapid growth. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who is not only knowledgeable about sales development but also possesses a strong customer focus and efficiency in their work. The SDR will report directly to the Sales Development Manager and will be responsible for prospecting new business opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and understanding and responding to customer needs. The role requires tracking and reporting on account activity to ensure that sales objectives are met. In this position, the SDR will utilize lead generation expertise to identify and develop new business prospects from various sources, including prospect lists, individual research, and discovery. The SDR will qualify all existing leads in Salesforce.com and other Avigilon lead databases, which may be generated from sales, tradeshows, telesales, marketing efforts, referrals, partners, and call campaigns. Additionally, the SDR will coordinate, promote, and lead webinars in their assigned region as directed by the Inside Sales Manager. Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales objectives for their assigned territory is a key expectation of this role. The SDR will also be responsible for accepting inbound calls and making outbound telephone calls to identify sales opportunities, ensuring that they meet and exceed daily call and activity metrics. Collaboration with other members of the sales organization is essential to support overall company revenue targets. This position is open to fully-remote candidates based anywhere in the U.S., reflecting the company's commitment to flexibility and accessibility in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business to develop relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Qualify all existing leads in Salesforce.com and Avigilon lead databases as directed by the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate, promote, and lead webinars in the assigned region as directed by the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Accept inbound and perform outbound telephone calls to identify sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed daily call and activity metrics.
  • Align with other members of the sales organization to support overall company revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 6+ months of sales experience OR 6+ months of public safety/public service experience.
  • Six months to one year of experience within an inside sales organization.
  • Preferred experience with technology sales.
  • Preferred experience with video surveillance/security technology sales.
  • Preferred Salesforce.com CRM experience.
  • Preferred previous experience in a sales development role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technology sales is preferred.
  • Experience in video surveillance/security technology sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM is preferred.
