About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Motorola Solutions plays a crucial role in driving sales growth within the Video Security & Access Control division. This position focuses on prospecting new business, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and responding to customer needs. The role is customer-focused and requires efficiency in tracking and reporting account activity, with the opportunity to work fully remote from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business to develop relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Track and report on account activity.
  • Identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists and individual research.
  • Qualify all existing leads in Salesforce.com and other lead databases.
  • Coordinate, promote, and lead webinars in the assigned region.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Perform inbound and outbound telephone calls to identify sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed daily call and activity metrics.
  • Align with other members of the sales organization to support overall company revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 6+ months of sales experience OR 6+ months of public safety/public service experience.
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with people with disabilities.
  • Under 1 year of experience in technology sales, preferably in video surveillance/security technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months to one year of experience within an inside sales organization.
  • Preferred experience with technology sales.
  • Preferred previous experience in a sales development role.
