About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Motorola Solutions plays a crucial role in driving sales growth within the Video Security & Access Control division. This position focuses on prospecting new business, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and understanding customer needs to meet sales objectives. The role requires a dynamic individual who is customer-focused and efficient, with responsibilities that include lead generation, account activity tracking, and collaboration with the sales organization to support overall revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business to develop relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Understand and respond to customer needs effectively.
  • Track and report on account activity.
  • Identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists and individual research.
  • Qualify all existing leads in Salesforce.com and Avigilon lead databases.
  • Coordinate, promote, and lead webinars in the assigned region as directed by the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Accept inbound and perform outbound telephone calls to identify sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed daily call and activity metrics.
  • Align with other members of the sales organization to support overall company revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 6+ months of sales experience OR 6+ months of public safety/public service experience.
  • Six months to one year of experience within an inside sales organization.
  • Preferred experience with technology sales, particularly video surveillance/security technology sales.
  • Preferred Salesforce.com CRM experience.
  • Preferred previous experience in a sales development role.
