About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at OPEX Corporation plays a crucial role in the revenue team, acting as the first point of contact for potential clients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The SDR will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, and nurturing leads through the sales funnel, with a focus on generating interest in OPEX's automation solutions and professional services. The ideal candidate will have a relentless drive to connect with business leaders and create meaningful conversations that lead to pre-qualified meetings for the sales team. In this role, the SDR will collaborate closely with both the Marketing and Sales Teams, ensuring that revenue goals are met through effective lead generation and qualification. The SDR will engage in introductory and exploratory conversations via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person events. A significant part of the job involves executing targeted outbound demand generation campaigns, qualifying inbound leads, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and activities in the CRM system. The SDR will also assist in promoting events and follow up to qualify registrations, contributing to the overall success of marketing-driven campaigns. The SDR is expected to achieve key performance indicators and be a thought leader in creating new strategies as target industries evolve. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and executives. The SDR will need to demonstrate a combination of organization and flexibility, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Execute various outbound lead generation campaigns via email and phone calls.
  • Engage and qualify responses from potential leads.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the Sales team.
  • Promote various events and follow up to qualify registrations.
  • Assist with designated marketing-driven campaigns, including consistent campaign reporting.
  • Achieve key performance indicators set by the company.
  • Qualify inbound leads from emails, events, and web forms.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and activities in the CRM.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales Teams to support their needs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of outbound prospecting, sales, or business development experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across various channels.
  • Understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles and solution-selling tactics.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business ideas into technical solutions.
  • Creative mindset that can identify solutions and adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to understand cross-functional business relationships and communicate with senior management and executives.
  • Experience with Account-based marketing tools and CRMs, particularly Oracle SalesCloud and Eloqua.
