About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at AuthX plays a crucial role in the sales process by identifying and engaging potential customers for the company's cloud-based identity and access management solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are proactive, organized, and possess strong communication skills, as they will be the first point of contact for prospects. The SDR will conduct research, initiate relationships, and set up meetings for sales closers, contributing significantly to the sales pipeline and overall success of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services.
  • Represent the company's products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities.
  • Utilize sales engagement tools to research contacts and accounts to strategize with Marketing and Account Executives on prospecting plans.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with IT Executives in targeted accounts.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
  • Work cross functionally to increase conversion rates and generate quality pipeline.
  • Consistently achieve quota by hitting call, email, meeting, and pipeline targets.
  • Use and maintain Salesforce.com to keep data accurate.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in software sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets.
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email.
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
  • Ability to understand client needs and negotiate costs and services.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and an aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience in selling SaaS, High Tech and Security Software solutions are desirable.
