About the position

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) with Ascent Cloud, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our enterprise software-as-a-service solutions, specifically focusing on our products Geopointe and LevelEleven. Your primary responsibility will be to educate prospects about our offerings, qualify leads, and schedule meetings for our Account Executives. This position is designed for individuals who possess excellent sales skills and have a keen interest in the Salesforce ecosystem. You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions will directly impact the success of our sales team. In this role, you will be expected to manage and qualify leads effectively. This includes contacting prospects through phone and email, asking relevant questions, and listening carefully to identify and qualify opportunities. You will be making a significant number of outbound calls daily, ranging from 50 to 75, to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads. Providing accurate product information and solutions tailored to the prospect's use cases will be essential, as will scheduling meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives. Continuous learning and adaptation are key components of this position. You will be required to update your job knowledge through sales training and by studying new product features and their applications to customer use cases. Additionally, maintaining accurate and consistent information in Salesforce is critical for the team's success. You will utilize SalesLoft and its outbound dialer to manage your call and email cadences effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the organization, as these traits will be recognized and rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and qualify leads
  • Contact prospects via phone/email asking pertinent questions, listening and qualifying opportunities
  • Make 50-75 marketing qualified outbound calls daily
  • Provide accurate product information and solutions based upon prospect use cases
  • Schedule meetings between the qualified prospects and an Account Executive
  • Update job knowledge with sales training and by studying new product features and how they are applied to customer use cases
  • Update Salesforce to ensure the team is working with consistent and accurate information
  • Utilize SalesLoft and its outbound dialer to manage call/email cadences

Requirements

  • 1-2 years relevant work experience is a plus
  • Entrepreneurially-minded, self-starter
  • Positive attitude and professionalism
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills are required
  • Excitement and interest in the Salesforce platform and AppExchange
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with SalesLoft or other lead qualification tools a plus
