About the position

As a Market Development Specialist at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in connecting new residents with essential services as they settle into their new homes. This position is designed for outgoing professionals who thrive in independent work environments and enjoy engaging with customers directly. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers through door-to-door relationship building and participating in community events. Your focus will be on new and existing communities within targeted growth markets, where you will build a vast network of referral partners to facilitate quick engagement with prospective customers. In this role, you will develop relationships with homebuilders, homeowner associations, and housing community groups within your assigned territory. You will sell Spectrum's superior products, including Internet, mobile, phone, and video services, at exceptional value to customers. Achieving sales goals will be rewarded with competitive compensation, including a starting base salary plus uncapped commission, incentives, and a bonus program. The average first-year target compensation is up to $100,000. Expect to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain or shine, and be prepared to knock on many doors before closing a sale. This position requires resilience and strong relationship-building skills, as you will be connecting with your team through sales meetings and training while working independently. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication, listening, relationship-building, and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to work independently and be results-oriented
  • Persuasive with a positive attitude and resilience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle needed

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of sales or relevant work experience
