About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at LexisNexis, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue by creating and securing qualified business opportunities. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a consultative sales environment and enjoy collaborating with Account Managers to achieve common goals. You will be responsible for prospecting into strategic business accounts through various methods, including cold calling, emailing, and utilizing social strategies. Your primary objective will be to drive sales growth and build a robust pipeline by setting up qualified meetings for Account Executives. In this hybrid role, you will be required to work in the office two days a week at our Miamisburg, OH facility. You will have the opportunity to quickly grow and advance into an Account Executive role within 6-12 months, making this an excellent opportunity for career progression. You will identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers, work closely with sales teams to schedule demonstrations and meetings, and produce real business opportunities. Monthly meetings with management will allow you to share success stories and discuss effective sales and business development strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting into strategic business accounts via cold call, email, and social strategies.
  • Driving sales growth and pipeline through setting up qualified meetings for Account Executives.
  • Producing creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales appointments.
  • Identifying the needs and challenges of the prospective customer.
  • Working closely with Sales teams to schedule qualified demonstrations and meetings, build pipelines, and produce real business opportunities.
  • Meeting monthly with Management to share success stories and discuss effective sales and business development strategies.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have excellent lead generation or inside sales experience.
  • Be experienced with heavy cold calling volume (50-100 outbound/day).
  • Be a great listener, quick thinker, with the ability to work solo and as part of a team.
  • Display solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have great attention to detail and be able to follow defined processes.
  • Have good time management skills.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office applications and CRM.
