About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Buyerlink will play a crucial role in driving sales growth within the Home Services vertical. This position involves engaging with large national and regional home improvement contractors and service providers who are looking to enhance their business through online marketing solutions. The SDR will work within a short to medium sales cycle, focusing on prospecting and qualifying leads, and will be expected to meet and exceed sales quotas. Daily tracking of metrics and performance is essential, ensuring that all sales activities are documented in the company’s CRM system. In this role, the SDR will utilize various sales outreach methods, including cold calling and emailing, to network and qualify prospects. The representative will be responsible for scheduling multiple sales meetings and presentations each week, screening potential clients to ensure they meet Buyerlink's service qualifications, and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects. Building strong, ongoing relationships with both prospects and customers is key, as is the ability to coordinate with other team members to optimize sales efforts. The SDR will also have the opportunity to travel to prospective customers to showcase product features, further enhancing the sales process. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales, particularly in outside sales, and will have experience selling high-value marketing and advertising services. A strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to ethical sales practices. This in-office position is based in American Fork, UT, and offers a dynamic work environment focused on professional growth and community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new sales through cold email/calling and networking.
  • Schedule several sales meetings and presentations weekly with qualified prospects.
  • Screen potential prospects that meet the minimum qualifications for Buyerlink's services.
  • Track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating new prospect and account information regularly.
  • Create and maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Meet and/or exceed quotas; KPIs must be tracked with diligence.
  • Ability to figure things out and learn independently.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.
  • Travel to prospective customers with a product to showcase key features.

Requirements

  • A consistent track record of success in a sales and/or business development role.
  • Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • 3 years (5+ years preferred) of outside sales experience, including selling over video calls.
  • Proven track record selling high-dollar marketing and advertising services over the phone.
  • Experience in a short sell cycle is highly preferred - an ability to 'two-call' close.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a hands-on, virtual environment.
  • Possess a high-energy, charismatic, positive 'can-do' attitude via the phone and in person.
  • Sales background in the home improvement/services industry is a plus.
  • High ethical values and professionalism.
  • Prospect tracking using Salesforce.com or other CRM experience preferred.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred, but not required.
