About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Connecticut Innovations will play a crucial role in expanding the reach of SedMed's innovative medical device products within hospitals and healthcare systems. This position focuses on driving sales through effective prospecting, lead generation, and relationship building, while also providing the opportunity for career growth and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue and margin targets.
  • Build and form new partnerships with potential clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Navigate the sales cycle from discovery through deal close.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers to understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Provide monthly sales reports to the executive team.
  • Initially take on sales responsibilities directly and build a sales team over time as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of selling experience into hospitals and healthcare systems.
  • Demonstrated sales accomplishments.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and organized.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally.
