About the position

The Sales Development Representative at SS&C is responsible for managing the lead lifecycle, from initial inquiry to qualification and transition to the Sales Team. This role is crucial for generating new sales opportunities and building relationships with prospects in the financial services and software industry. The position offers a hybrid work model and emphasizes personal and professional growth within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales opportunities using Salesforce, cold calls, and email.
  • Identify prospect needs and suggest appropriate products or services.
  • Build trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Coordinate meetings or calls between prospects and sales executives.
  • Report results to the sales manager regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • Experience in Financial Services or Software industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with decision-makers and teammates.
  • Internal motivation and ability to implement feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves
