About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position at RamQuest is a pivotal role responsible for understanding and developing assigned sales territories and customer segments to maximize revenue through the sale of RamQuest products and services. This role is essential in creating critical first impressions of the company's suite of product features and functionality, and it requires the ability to evoke confidence in customers and prospects regarding RamQuest's offerings. The SDR will engage with both existing and prospective customers, articulating the overall value proposition of RamQuest's products during product demonstrations and industry events. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and software goals, ensuring that RamQuest's solutions align with those needs. In addition to achieving revenue targets, the SDR will assist in closing complex sales opportunities by leveraging advanced competitive knowledge and technical skills. A deep understanding of RamQuest's products and services is crucial, as the SDR will utilize this knowledge to effectively demonstrate and sell to customers within their assigned territory. The role also involves researching market conditions, creating strategies to meet or exceed sales goals, and identifying potential customers through various sales techniques, including cold-calling and targeted marketing. Building long-term, productive relationships with customers and industry partners is a key responsibility, as is maintaining consistent communication and timely follow-up with prospects. The SDR will record all customer-related activities in Salesforce and prepare professional technical proposals and product comparisons for presentation to customers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Implementation, Account Management, and Marketing, is essential to ensure customer success and to provide input on prospective customer requests. The SDR must also maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and networking, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate the overall RamQuest value proposition of its products to customers and prospects in product demonstrations and industry events.
  • Achieve revenue targets.
  • Engage new and existing customers to identify their business needs and software goals to determine how RamQuest's products and solutions can best meet their needs.
  • Assist in closing complex sales opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skills, and credibility.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of RamQuest's products and services and utilize this knowledge to successfully demonstrate and sell services to new and existing customers in assigned territory or customer segment.
  • Research market conditions in assigned territory and create and execute strategies to meet or exceed established sales goals.
  • Identify and target potential customers in assigned territory by using multiple sales techniques; cold-calling, email, webinar, targeted marketing, etc.
  • Analyze competitor activity and assess opportunities for business development.
  • Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers, as well as industry partners.
  • Meet with existing partners, customers, and prospects in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to meet surfaced needs.
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects and be available and responsive to customer's needs.
  • Record all customer and prospect related activity in Salesforce and complete weekly and monthly reports as requested.
  • Prepare professional technical proposals and product comparisons and present the content to customers and prospects.
  • Work collaboratively and cohesively with Implementation, Account Management, Support, Product Management, Development, and other cross functional teams to ensure customer success.
  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments, Implementation, Marketing and Product Development teams, pertaining to prospective customer's requests, as needed.
  • Assist in development of key market campaigns with marketing team.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
  • Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.
  • Sales experience in the Title Insurance Industry and an existing book of business is a bonus, along with knowledge of and/or experience with one or more RamQuest product.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is a must.
