About the position

Hamilton Telecommunications is seeking a dedicated and motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team in Aurora, Nebraska. This full-time position plays a crucial role in the early stages of our sales process, focusing on generating and qualifying leads to drive successful sales conversions in the technology sector. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for conducting outbound prospecting to identify potential clients across various verticals and markets we serve. This involves utilizing multiple channels such as email, phone calls, and social media to effectively generate leads and engage with potential clients. In this role, the Sales Development Representative will conduct thorough research on target accounts to personalize outreach efforts, ensuring that communication is tailored to the specific needs and challenges of each prospect. The representative will assess the suitability of leads for our technology solutions and qualify them based on predefined criteria, passing high-potential opportunities to the sales team. A key aspect of this position is effectively communicating our value proposition through compelling messaging, scheduling initial meetings or product demonstrations, and maintaining accurate records of all prospect interactions in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The Sales Development Representative will also stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to enhance lead generation efforts. Regular reporting on lead generation and qualification activities will be required, along with tracking performance metrics to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified leads and scheduled appointments. This position may also involve participating in strategic planning efforts and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and optimize lead generation efforts. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate various outreach efforts and client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify potential clients in the verticals and markets we serve.
  • Utilize various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to generate leads.
  • Conduct research on target accounts to personalize outreach efforts.
  • Engage with leads to assess their needs, challenges, and suitability for our technology solutions.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and pass on high-potential opportunities to the sales team.
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition to prospects through compelling messaging.
  • Schedule and coordinate initial meetings or product demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Provide regular reports on lead generation and qualification activities.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified leads and scheduled appointments.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning efforts.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours as needed.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two- or four-year degree in business, marketing, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a prior role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess lead quality and optimize outreach strategies.
  • Proficient utilization of MS Excel, Word, Power Point software.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and other sales technologies.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
