About the position

EDB is seeking an enthusiastic Enterprise Sales Development Representative based in North America to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in generating qualified sales opportunities and supporting our North American revenue teams. Your primary responsibility will be to engage potential clients through various outreach methods, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn, to introduce them to EDB's powerful data and AI solutions. As a pivotal member of our high-performing sales team, you will leverage your expertise in researching prospects, uncovering their pain points, and securing meetings with decision-makers. Your impact will be significant as you engage prospects through cold outreach, showcasing how EDB can address their Postgres challenges. You will conduct cold-calling to educate the market about the power of EDB and utilize proven sales processes, weekly coaching, and cutting-edge technology to generate sales-qualified leads. Mastering the art of prospecting will be essential, as you will establish the value of our solutions while building rapport with prospects and identifying their needs. Your success will be measured by daily activity metrics and monthly quota attainment, and as you demonstrate mastery, a defined career path within our SDR organization awaits, offering opportunities for growth into other areas within EDB. To excel in this role, you should bring 6+ months to 2 years of relevant sales experience, a positive mental attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset, and tenacity as a "hunter" with an affinity for cold outbound prospecting. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential, along with a collaborative mentality and the ability to prioritize teamwork. A highly motivated, ambitious, and goal-oriented mindset is crucial, as is the ability to travel once a quarter. Previous cold-calling experience and knowledge of sales tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo will give you an edge in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified sales opportunities through cold outreach.

  • 6+ months to 2 years of relevant sales experience (internship experience considered).
