About the position

EDB is seeking an enthusiastic Enterprise Sales Development Representative based in North America. This role is crucial for generating qualified sales opportunities and supporting our North American revenue teams. As a key member of our high-performing sales team, you will leverage your expertise in researching prospects, uncovering pain points, and securing meetings with decision-makers. Your primary focus will be on engaging potential clients through various channels including phone, email, and LinkedIn, to introduce them to EDB's powerful solutions. In this position, you will engage prospects through cold outreach, showcasing how EDB can address their Postgres challenges. You will conduct cold-calling to educate the market about the power of EDB and utilize proven sales processes, weekly coaching, and cutting-edge technology to generate sales-qualified leads. Mastering the art of prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn will be essential, as you establish the value of our solutions and build rapport with prospects. Your success will be measured by daily activity metrics and monthly quota attainment, and as you demonstrate mastery, a defined career path within our SDR organization awaits, offering opportunities for growth into other areas within EDB.

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified sales opportunities through cold outreach.
  • Conduct cold-calling to educate the market about EDB's solutions.
  • Utilize proven sales processes and technology to generate sales-qualified leads.
  • Master prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Build rapport with prospects and identify their needs.

Requirements

  • 6+ months to 2 years of relevant sales experience (internship experience considered).
  • Positive mental attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Tenacity as a 'hunter' and affinity for cold outbound prospecting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • A collaborative mentality with the ability to prioritize teamwork.
  • A highly motivated, ambitious, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel once a quarter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous cold-calling experience
  • Knowledge of sales tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo
  • Successful experience previously working from home
