About the position

The Advance Local Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in driving advertising revenue for one of the largest privately-owned media companies in the country. This position focuses on new business development and client growth through digital and print advertising products, supported by a dynamic sales team and comprehensive training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and identify new business opportunities for sales account executives through cold calling, networking, marketing, referrals, and mining lead databases.
  • Conduct detailed research on identified opportunities to qualify potential prospects.
  • Maintain detailed notes on CRM software platforms, ensuring documentation is constantly updated with current prospect and client information.
  • Serve as a marketing consultant by providing industry insights through up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with prospective clients through networking.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or a minimum of 1 year of work experience with a desire to pursue a career in Sales.
  • Passion for digital advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle pressure, and work under deadlines.
  • Solid PC skills including proficiency with MS Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Prior sales experience and knowledge of industry is a plus.
  • CRM sales management software experience with a leading platform (SalesForce preferable) is a plus.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 per year with additional incentives bringing total potential compensation to $70,000 - $75,000.
