About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Simco Electronics is a key role focused on driving growth for the CERDAAC Software portfolio. This position involves both outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification, aiming to identify and engage potential customers while qualifying leads for the sales team. The representative will play a crucial part in expanding the company's market presence and achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify new prospects in target industries using tools like LinkedIn and ZoomInfo.
  • Engage and qualify inbound leads generated from marketing efforts through email, phone, and live chat.
  • Collaborate with customer account managers to identify software sales opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Qualify prospects by identifying key decision makers and confirming lead criteria such as budget and timeframe.
  • Convert outbound prospects and inbound Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Qualified Leads and schedule follow-up appointments for the Inside Sales Team.
  • Meet monthly quotas for Sales Qualified Leads generated.
  • Utilize Salesforce to record activities, update lead records, and track progress.
  • Provide exceptional prospect and customer journey experiences.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide feedback on lead generation strategies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outbound lead generation, inside sales, or enterprise software sales.
  • Experience in B2B software and/or SaaS lead generation and sales.
  • Ability to articulate business benefits and functionality of software solutions.
  • Experience using sales prospecting tools like LinkedIn and ZoomInfo, and automated sales platforms such as Outreach or SalesLoft is a plus.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for email and phone sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, process, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
