About the position

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Thomson Reuters, you will be responsible for generating qualified leads by prospecting business opportunities within new and existing clients. The role involves nurturing prospects to transition them from unidentified leads to scored leads, ultimately setting appointments for Account Executives. The SDR will utilize various communication methods, including outbound calls, emails, videos, and social media, to engage decision-makers and build ongoing relationships, demonstrating product competency and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound phone calls to customers and prospects to set appointments for sales teams.
  • Identify, generate and qualify new sales leads through customer analytics and predictive marketing processes.
  • Explain the benefits of Thomson Reuters products and services to potential clients concisely.
  • Prospect new customers and leads assigned as part of a pooled resource group.
  • Understand specific customer archetypes and needs prevalent within the subsegment and territory.
  • Acquire contact data for prospect identification.
  • Run sales campaigns, including creating sequenced email and video campaigns.
  • Utilize social media platforms to connect and score potential leads.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing on the effectiveness of demand generation campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to Value Proposition on the effectiveness of persona and product packaging.
  • Use Salesforce workflow to progress deals.
  • Pilot new sales enablement tools.
  • Track qualifying data in CRM to score leads.

Requirements

  • One or more years of B2B or B2C inside sales experience.
  • Outbound prospecting experience with a successful track record in generating new business.
  • Ability to communicate and influence others over phone, email, and video with enthusiasm.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales automation, CRM, and web-based software programs.
  • Goal-oriented and highly driven.
  • Technical aptitude for learning products and solving problems.
  • Collaborative and a team player.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree (BA, BS) preferred.
